Internet marketing tool known as a blog

This Internet Marketing tool known as a blog is changing the way we receive and view information on line. I am writing this document in my blog now.

My blog is a Word Press Blog and it is pretty cool because within a few minutes, I purchased a domain and installed the blog on my server directed to the new domain.

This is totally cool. People who read the posts in my blog can rate them and leave comments. I have noticed blogs becoming more popular than your standard basic websites.

Search engines love blogs and every time someone leaves a comment it is looked at by the search engines as new and fresh content.

You will notice that on the home page of my blog, there is even an opt in form for building my mailing list of subscribers for my newsletter. Wow. Is the blog idea a cool Internet Marketing Tool or what?

You can comment, ask questions and participate in the conversation right on the blog and you can even opt in to my killer newsletter.

This article will be submitted to the major article directories as well so if you are not reading it on my blog and would like to check it out there, check the link in my bio.

The other cool thing about having a blog as an important Internet Marketing Tool is the fact that you can place links on your blog to direct traffic to other pages.

I set up a blog under the domain poolbilliardssupplies dot com back on January 4th. I posted in the blog about 17 times over the following 30 days. The blog had over 11000 hits in that first month.

I accidentally uninstalled that blog when installing a new one and lost all of the comments and feed back. I did have all of the posts however and I just finished getting them back on line yesterday. (Minor Set Back. LOL)

This was a valuable lesson and I will not be clicking on uninstall again. The biggest draw back is that now my oldest post is in Feb. instead of January 4th.

On a good note, I was checking my stats last night and I made money with Google AdSense, eBay affiliate program (Commission Junction) and Click Bank last week. There has been a large increase in percentage of income since I started posting to my blogs on a regular basis.

Well I guess that’s about it for this post.

To Your Success,

Ted

Advertise to millions - 3- good content

Introduction:

This is a series of articles about marketing and advertising. There are different ways you can reach an audience of millions of individuals all around the world. I show you on this series how to implement profitable strategies in your marketing career.

It has been said that “what matters is not what you sell but how you promote it.” So, the secret to success lays within your marketing techniques. That’s why it is very important for business owners to develop skills which allow them to increase the sales of their products.

One of the most important skills you must have is the ability to reach a lot of people quickly. To do this you need to realize how powerful media is an how it can drastically increase your revenues.

– Good content –

One of the simplest yet most overlooked methods to advertise to millions in the Internet is just content itself. Whether you own an e-zine, blog, newsletter, or web site, what really matters is what you offer your visitors once they get there. What motivates them to browse through your pages and keep coming back for more?

No matter how effective can your marketing strategies be, if your potential clients do not receive anything valuable to them once they get to your pages, then they will leave and go somewhere else.

So, whatever you do, make sure you never bore your visitors. Make their experience as pleasurable, unique, and joyous as you can, so they keep coming back and reading your ads, then eventually after a few visits they will start buying from you.

Most successful web masters offer a lot of free valuable content on their web sites. Surfers find their sites looking for free information, but they see the ads and many of them buy the products. Think about it, content is anything that could be valuable to your prospects. It can be images, sound, music, information, orientations, reviews, etc.

You don’t have to give away your best pearls for free, but by providing good, free content to others you cannot imagine how much your exposure will increase Online as well as Offline. Furthermore you will get word of mouth advertising which in my opinion is the most effective of all.

Then where do you get that excellent content which could bring you lots of potential buyers every day? Well, there are many things you can do. For example you can borrow some articles from article banks as described on other articles of this series. It is free, easy and will improve the quality of your pages, newsletters, etc.

If you check the bravenet. com website you will notice they offer many tools for web masters and Internet marketers which could be of your interest. One of the best ones they have there, is the possibility for you to set up your own customizable forum on your website.

To have your own discussion group is wonderful because your visitors keep coming back to check if someone else have posted a reply to their messages. That keeps an interactive community withing your site to which you can advertise to regularly.

They may also read other reviews or articles that you may include on your pages which can lead them to specific products or more direct advertisement. Search engines like forums too, because forums provide fresh valuable content to surfers on a daily basis. So, Bravenet web master tools can help increase the quality of your pages and your exposure on the Internet.

Remember, give your visitors good free content and they will keep coming back. They will also tell their friends about you and link to your pages so you will receive free advertisement.

As you can see, this technique can increase your exposure and help you get more clients. You can read about other effective marketing techniques from my other articles on this series.

Build your online database with bonus giveaways

Anyone who depends on building a database with online subscribers knows this is becoming more difficult by the day. Primarily, the competition for the consumer’s attention is fierce. Today’s consumer has become much more demanding and savvy when it comes to buying products online or signing up for “stuff.”

Smart marketers realize the power and profit that comes from a strong alliance through joint venturing. JV’s can be one of the smartest marketing moves any online marketer can make.

Something that has become very popular in recent months is where one person or company sweetens the offer of the product they are selling with lots of bonuses. The bonuses can be their own information products or those of others who understand the benefits of this type of campaign. Of course, there is no charge for the bonus products.

There are two primary ways to participate in a JV of this nature. One is to simply give the PDF file to the person who is selling a product. The seller gives the PDF directly to the buyer. The advantage to this is your bonus product gets seen by others. The disadvantage is you don’t get access to the buyer’s contact information.

The other option is to require anyone who buys a product to go to a link provided by the bonus giver. The link is connected to a page with a form that the consumer fills out. They must leave their name and at a minimum, their email address before they can download the bonus.

When offered the opportunity to partner with other online marketers I usually jump at the chance. However, I the campaign I am most likely to join in on is the one where people sign up to get my bonus. Additionally, I do all I can to make sure the person I partner with is reputable.

Here are the primary benefits to participating in a joint venture.

- Expanded market reach

- Gain name recognition within that market

- Increase credibility through name association

- Build a database with minimal effort

- Create incredible value for the consumer

If you are looking for ways to increase your database, reach, credibility and visibility while providing more value to your market, consider joining forces with other progressive thinking entrepreneurs. It could be one of the smartest business moves you make.

Relentless internet marketing

:
The internet is a fantastic place to promote your skills and accomplishments. You can pay a large sum of money by coming up with banner ad or pay per click plans to “get the word out” or you can go the budget way and market yourself smartly without spending nary a dime. I’ll leave the money plans for another article, instead let’s take a look at smart ways for you to promote you or your product online for little or no money!

Who said you have to have a marketing budget to promote yourself? Well, many companies do, but they are in the business to sell you something [namely, their marketing plan]. If you have the money to spend on marketing then go for it. If not, then you must examine cost effective ways to get your name out there. Here are some of my personal favorites:

Write Articles – Yes, just as I am writing this article in hope that you are reading it, you can do the same and submit your missives to leading article directories. A well written article of medium length [500-750 words] can go a long way in attracting interest by others. If you are new to the game, write the article and give it to a friend for their review and critique. Once you make your changes, find article directories you can join and start submitting. Make sure your resource box – the information at the end of the article – effectively pitches your product or you personally. Enjoy the resultant [and free!] links back to your site. Submit on a regular basis and you will reap the added traffic to your site resulting in more business for you.

Join Forums -- I run several message board communities and with my two largest ones -- the Corporate Flight Attendant Community and the Aviation Employment Board -- I permit members to add a link within their signature to their personal or business website. Many of my threads are indexed by Google and picked up by people all over the world. Thus, the right person at the right time can click on a thread and see valuable links to other sites of interest. Not every forum manager permits this practice, however. I guess I am just a nick guy! [wink]

Post on Craig’s List -- Craig Newmark started his “list” more than a decade ago to serve the San Francisco community. Years later his site is still going strong with well over one hundred cities across the globe featured. People from Atlanta to Auckland and from Zurich to Zimbabwe now have access to a site that allows them to pitch their products, display their resumes, or sell their very souls. The site is still free unless you are posting a job opportunity or real estate information under a few, select cities.

Your Website -- You do have a website, right? Oddly in this day and age I am meeting people who do not. I hear all kinds of excuses: it is too expensive, too time consuming, too difficult, etc. Heck, if you are going to “play” the internet you must be properly equipped to participate. Quit making excuses…find a way to get online and do it today! At the very least your DSL account probably provides a page or two where you can design your personal page and upload it to the internet. Oh, you are still using dial up? Yikes!

As with any marketing campaign you must stay on top of it at all times. What I mean is this: however you choose to proceed, you must continually monitor and adjust your plan to maximize its effectiveness. No going on auto-pilot here: you must take charge of what you are doing to reap the rewards. If you do, you can gain a lot of exposure – and work – without expending a huge amount of money.
