After 2 400 years ordinary tie is no match for custom tie

It’s definitely “OUT with the old and ordinary and IN with the new and adventurous”. For 2,400 years, the standard necktie has been a staple. For many it is hard to break the tried and true habit of wearing the safe, secure standard print tie like our ancestors before us. Many of our standard prints and designs have been around for decades. Yes, ties have become wider at the ends, but little else has changed for a long, long time.

Neckties could be among the oldest, longest lasting examples of a clothing item acting as a symbol. China’s first emperor had a huge army that was duplicated in terracotta upon his death and each wrapped with a necktie. Why did they each have a necktie? We may never know for sure, but many scholars believe it was meant to show unity with the emperor.

With new innovations in technology and lower costs, we now have the chance to develop our own custom ties with whatever design we choose. Fortune 500 companies are making ties that feature their company logos, characters, products or colors and they are making waves in the workplace. Not only do custom ties and scarves serve as effective product branding, but they also allow company employees to feel like they are part of an exclusive group. This creates unity and camaraderie.

Custom neckties, often called logo ties or corporate ties, are becoming more and more accepted across the globe as companies, medical schools, fraternities, alumni groups and other organizations decide they want a tie or scarf to display what they are all about. They want to be unique and create a fellowship of togetherness that is usually only seen when everyone wears a same uniform. A custom tie is a way to show that everyone is on the same team. Whether you want to design a traditional “Brooks Brothers” look or a bold, bright, eye-catching corporate logo design, nothing is off limits now days. It just depends on what you want your ties to express. The possibilities are limitless.

Custom ties and scarves are also very affordable when purchased from the right supplier. And remember that anyone can make custom neckwear…but few have the ability to create award-winning designs that will make your custom ties and scarves really “pop”. It is easy to recognize the value of well designed, limited edition ties in creating corporate identity or renewed traditions in fraternities and alumni groups.

After all these years, why do people still buy and wear neckties? There is no simple answer, but ties continue to be seen as symbols. They bind groups and teams together whether those in a corporate environment, fraternity or on an athletic team. Not only do ties bind people to a common cause, they also motivate.

Fashion trends may come and go, but neckwear endures – for solid historical and cultural reasons. Custom ties create a fashion statement for others looking to escape the very conservative, traditional tie. Remember that new and adventurous is in. Old and stuffy is out. Have fun designing your very own custom tie; you’ll be glad you did.
